Franz Senkinc

1902  born in Vienna
    As soon as he became a Lithographer, he visited the Graphic School and the Arts and Crafts School in Vienna. His early works are influenced by Schiele and Senkinc´s friend Otto Rudolf Schatz. Together with Schatz, Max Zülow, Rudolf Pointner and Karl Wiener he built up a circle, which tried to live a much more liberal social attitude - against traditional forms of marriage. This longings affected his work at that time.

From 1930 he oriented towards Photography - but he still experimented in drawing and painting.

His rancour on the Naziregime affectet also his work at that time. After the war he got influenced by the Surrealist movement.

1956   Frank Senkinc died in Vienna
