1889   Born in Krefeld/Germany
Later studies at the advanced vocational art school in Krefeld
1911   Upon invitation by Franc Marc Campendonk moves to Sindeldorf (Bavaria), joins the artist group "Blauer Reiter" and participats in their exhibitions (1911-1912).
1913   Exhibitits together with the artists of Blauer Reiter at the first German Herbstsalon in Berlin. His works at that time show the Blauer Reiter's major influence..
1916   Moves to Seeshaupt at Lake Starnberg.
1926   Professorship at the academy of art in Düsseldorf; specializes in glass painting.
1933   During Hitler's takeover Campendonk loses his professorship and moves to the Netherlands; he creates many glass-painting works.
1935   Professorship at the Academy of fine arts in Amsterdam
1957   Heinrich Campendonk dies in Amsterdam on May 9.
